Waterfowl - ducks, geese, grebes, loons. Usually seen on the water

Gulls, terns and their relatives. Usually seen flying over the water.
Wading birds - herons, cranes. Usually seen wading in the water.
Hawks, eagles, osprey, buzzards and falcons. Usually seen soaring over the Lake.
Hummingbirds. Usually seen hovering around flowers.
Owls. Usually seen at dawn or dusk perched high in trees.

Cormorants and Kingfishers. Usually seen perched in trees at water's edge or in the water.
Woodpeckers, nuthatches, creepers. Usually seen clinging to the sides of trees.
Pigeons and doves. Usually seen feeding on the ground or perched on telephone wires.
Swallows, swifts, nighthawks and their relatives. Usually seen sailing over the Lake.
Perching birds - Chickadees, warblers, sparrows, jays, etc. Usually seen perched in trees and bushes.
